Democrats Can’t Add

Kerry and crew have been complaining about all the jobs that have been lost during the Bush administration. So, I decided to do a little research. The Bureau Of Labor Statistics maintains a very nice database of figures concerning the American workforce. Check out this chart…

If you notice the Jan. 2001 figure you’ll see 137,790,000 people employed. Now jump over to Aug. 2004. Here we have 139,681,000 employed. Now I’m not a rocket scientist…but the number is LARGER. Indicating to me that MORE people are employed now than were in 2001. If you jump back into Clinton’s regime (back to Jan. 2000), you’ll see that there is a net gain of 3.12 million employed people.

Am I missing something here?

Loud Music Can Cause Lung Collapse

Reporting in the medical journal Thorax, they describe the cases of four young men who suffered a lung collapse — technically called pneumothorax –that appeared to be triggered by loud music. Three of the men were at a concert or club when the pneumothorax occurred, while the fourth was in his car, which was outfitted with a 1,000-watt bass box because he “liked to listen to loud music.”
